Paris

Everyone knows about Paris, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral are all world-known landmarks of Paris.
We've been to all these places, just like all other tourists, to see the beauty & romance of this city during our 3-night stay.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon so after checking-in the hotel, we decided to go to Lafayette Gourmet.
We only realised then most shops closed on Sundays, so all we could do was 'window' shopping.
I didn't expect to find shops closing on Sundays as it will never happen in London where weekends are the busiest time & people are eating, clubbing or shopping.

The next day was well-planned, we went to Notre Dame Cathedral & walked around in that area.
We had the famous ice creams from Berthillon on the island, luckily we didn't had to join a long queue to get our ice creams, but it's a long queue after us.
The ice creams are lovely with creamy texture.
As a chocoholic myself, I tried the chocolate flavour & it's like in the heaven.
After that, we walked around & the shops close by are little but beautiful.

We had our best meal of this trip in a charning little French restaurant.
We booked a table 1-2 weeks before we went & it's worth waiting for.
It was a wonderful & personal chef experience.
The food was marvellously delicious, my sister fell in love with the food & planning to come back next time.
The chef is amazing, he does all the cooking, from appetisers to desserts.
He speaks fluent English, which was a great help to us, he came out from his kitchen & explained the menu to us.
We recommend trying the specials of the day, it might cost a little more but definitely worth it.
From the photo, he was making the dessert I ordered, peach mousse with frozen raspberries, a wonderful combination.
We also tried egg pudding with Cognac caramel sauce, light & delicious.

Last day of our trip, we planned to get some macarons from Pierre Herme but it was closed for refurbishment.
We're disappointed but soon we're happy again as there was a shop that catch our eyes, Pâtisserie Sadaharu Aoki.
The desserts are oriental as we expected, some of the macaroons include sesame seed, matcha, yuzu.
We tried the macaroons, only a few of them, it was chewy but the filing was too sweet & overtook the other flavours.
The other pastries were pretty & delicious, we tried the matcha mousse cakes & I fell in love with the chocolate mousse cake, heavenly rich with the perfect sweetness.

Our last meal was at Chez Clément on Champs-Elysées, a restaurant with a beautiful view of arc de Triomphe.
We didn't sit outside so we didn't get the view.
The food was great but we all agreed that the best meal was in La Cordonnerie.
I didn't get the photos for the restaurant but we walked towards the arc after dinner.
